this album perfectly illustrates fracture discovering the power of melodies, mostly in form of sweeping arpeggiators. Sound influences go from post-rock (voodoo fuzz buzz), stadium pop (velvet sun), big beat (poprocket girl) to as primitive as edgy noise-rock (psycho vibrator).

The complex swirling harmonies of the nine-minute-clocking epic closer "a clean issue for dirty pretenders" reflect, probably for the first time, fracture's sense for creating soothing melancholic soundscapes.
